MARSEILLE: ELECTRONIC SUBCULTURE INVESTS A STAGE OF THE UTOPIA FESTIVAL FOR THE START OF THE NEW SCHOOL YEAR


45 artists, 45,000 m2, 1 rooftop to create an ephemeral utopian city

Let yourself be transported to this new dreamlike chapter in the heart of the Phocaean city: the UtʘPia ⌲ The Odyssey ⏇. This ideal city inspired by antiquity invests the Wasteland of the Belle de Mai in Marseille. This second edition of the Utopia Festival takes place from September 23 to 24, 2022 and welcomes no less than 45 artists. The DJ’s will take turns on 7 stages of the Belle de Mai Wasteland. This exceptional place welcomes Utopians in its 45,000 m2 den. Festival-goers will then be able to perch at the top of its rooftop to prolong summer memories.

Sponsored by the Cabaret Aléatore, the Utopia festival aims to highlight the local and international electronic scene. For this occasion, the festival has invited big names like Len Faki, Stella Bossi, Space 92, and Rebekah will rock the heights of Marseille. The rhythm of the bpm will accelerate with the industrial sounds of Randommer and Under Black Helmets.
To remember the summer evenings, the house will be honored with Dennis Ferrer and Miss Monique. The French grosse, meanwhile, will be represented by Jeremy Underground. Not to mention the local artists of the Omerta collective and many others.

On Friday, utopians will be able to discover the Electronic Subculture scene from 18:00 and its selection of three artists: the spiritual priestess Deer Jade, Marcus Worgull from Innervisions, and Denis Horvat and his “techno synthesizer”. It is on the 8,000 m2 rooftop that festival-goers will be able to discover each of their worlds, ranging from house, progressive to the most melodic sounds. This session signed Electronic Subculture will be filmed to immortalize this moment on the roofs of Marseille.
