Amsterdam Dance Event or ADE, as it is commonly known, is preparing to return in full in 2022 from October 19. The annual gathering of musicians, producers, songwriters, labels and more is looking to make a big impact after canceling the event in 2020 due to Covid-19, and having a somewhat diluted exhibition in 2021 due to persistent concerns about the pandemic.
Earlier this year, ADE announced its initial line-up of artists and appearances. With names like Diplo, Tiësto, Oliver Heldens and labels like Monstercat taking part in the festivities, it was already a high-profile start to the prestigious event. With just over a month and a half to go until the event starts, the organizers have announced the second wave of artists and the guests will no doubt be excited about this year’s programming.
Among the highlights of the second wave are the performances of Armin van Buuren, Carl Cox, Eric Prydz, Charlotte de Witte, San Holo and many more. Of course, the event is much more than just great artists and artist exhibitions during its October edition. Various one-off panels and events will also enhance the visitor experience as various professionals showcase different technologies and expand on the growing opportunities that are being created in the Moderna world.
These selected panels and debates will focus on the future of the music industry and the impact of artificial intelligence, led by former Google engineer Blake Lemoine. Another exciting talk will dive into the expanding metaverse, with Meta industry head Daniela Weitman leading the discussion on this new technology. Perhaps the most curious and possibly entertaining event involves Don Diablo exploring deepfake technology while engaging with a deepfake version of himself. Overall, this year’s edition of ADE guarantees not only to capture the importance of electronic music, but also to provide selected information and discussions on the various technologies and companies that many members of the dance music community have also used to enhance their own careers and interests.
