To celebrate the 20th anniversary of its release, Guetta remixes the classic

The pioneer of electro house, Benny Benassi, is celebrating 20 years since the release of his hit song ‘Satisfaction’, which was published in 2002.

Benassi’s original track has been remixed by the French DJ two decades after its release in the early nineties.

“Actually, I first mixed the track as a sound design exercise for myself, but I liked its sound so much that I started playing it in my sessions. The public reactions were so incredible that I had to publish it,” Guetta commented on the remix.

After the release of ‘Satisfaction’ in 2002, the song rose to fame and has since been announced as one of the first pioneering electro house tracks. The single, which appeared as the title track of his album ‘Hypnotica’, sold 382,000 copies in France alone.

“I’ve known David for over 20 years. I remember receiving messages from DJs living in Ibiza who had heard David playing Satisfaction at Pacha two decades ago,” Benassi said.

“So he was certainly one of the first supporters of the original version. And when I got his initial idea for this new version, I loved it.”

The remix gives a twist to the original, loaded with synthesizers, for today’s main stage, and adds an even more energetic touch to the classic, without neglecting the recognizable synthesizer that catapulted the song to success in the nineties.

“He has made it fashionable again, he is very Ibizan and has a very good intro that is perfect for the sets of today’s DJs. I put it for the first time in Mykonos and people went crazy. Everyone was asking me what it was. I am very excited about this collaboration,” commented Benassi.
