Ona Electrònica is born, the first festival dedicated to the synthwave sound in Spain.

The festival will take place in a single day on Friday, September 17 at the Sala Estraperlo in Badalona.

This is an unmissable first date for lovers of the synthwave sound in all its variants. Especially recommended for those who are not familiar with the genre but who do not miss a chapter of ‘Stranger Things’, who enjoy the movies of the 80s and who spent all their pay on the Arcade machines of the arcades … Pure retro-future essence!

The line-up of this first edition of the Ona Electrònica festival is made up of artists such as Marvel ’83, from Prague, who will perform for the first time in Spain. Marvel ’83 produces deeply melodic synthwave, often combining dreamlike sounds with very powerful rhythms and arrangements. He will be joined by the Frenchman Lueur Verte, founder of the mythical Aphasia Records label, legend of the best retronewave that has been producing synthwave since 2011 and in this first edition of Ona Electrònica he will perform his first live to date.

From Belgium The Future Kids will arrive, also in their debut in our country with their dreamwave sound. You can find his dreamlike productions on his two albums released through Outland Recordings.

One of the most important artists on the national scene and with the greatest international projection, Nightcrawler, will also be part of the festival. The artist is heavily influenced by soundtracks and themes of horror and science fiction films and his musical universe has been described as a mixture of dark atmospheres and captivating electronic rhythms.

The festival will feature the duos Oblique and Barcelona ’82, pioneers of the synthwave sound in Barcelona and, finally, The Last Concorde who play at home and will present the best of their two albums released through the prestigious London label Outland Recordings.
